Who I am
I have been a teacher for over 20 years. I have taught mainly in Language Arts. I have worked in public school programs, private school programs, charter school programs, and currently in a virtual school program where I am the lead teacher and the Language Arts teacher for the middle school program. I have taught in Illinois, Hawaii, Guam and Wyoming. I have a Wyoming teaching certificate in 6-12 Language Arts and Reading. In addition to my Wyoming certificate, I currently have two teaching certificates from the state of Illinois, one in Secondary English/Social Studies and the other is a K-12 Reading Specialist.
In my spare time, I am a 4H leader. I also enjoy knitting and playing hand bells with my church's choir.

My Blog
My blog is about the observations that I have made about teaching. These observations include changes in educational policy, changes in student expectations, and changes I have made in the classroom in response to these other changes.
